Class Details:

Led by a Registered Instructor, the focus of each Study Group depends upon the needs and interests of the students.  Qualified Registered Advanced Practitioners may also lead up to 4 (four) of the Study Groups required for the Practitioner/Advanced Practitioner Program (contact your Advisor for details). Participants may wish to receive clarification about Ortho-Bionomy techniques and principles, review techniques already learned, discuss specific client cases, and to air any concerns or present any ideas that they may have.  Study groups give Ortho-Bionomy students an opportunity to interact with and develop on-going relationships with like-minded individuals; this will support them in their future roles as healthcare professionals.

There will be a morning and afternoon study group

One of the luxuries in life is your Comfort Zone. As a certified Advanced Instructor and practitioner of Ortho-Bionomy, Marie appreciates the respectful and comfortable techniques that Ortho-Bionomy offers to restore function throughout the body. Marie has been in private practice since 1994, her professional experience as a registered massage therapist opened the door to her search for more therapeutic approaches to whole body health. While embarking on a personal health search Marie embraced Ortho-Bionomy and found this approach to be an answer to her search.

In addition to Ortho-Bionomy, Marie also works with CranioSacral Therapy, Lymph Drainage and Visceral manipulation. Marie's commitment to her profession through her private practice as well as her teaching is testament to her continued personal and professional quest for whole body balance.

Peggy first discovered Ortho-Bionomy through an article she read in a massage magazine and was inspired to attended one of Marie Long's very first classes in Vernon. This journey led to her evolvement to Advanced Practitioner and her own practice for the last 12 years, and now to the completion of her training as an Instructor of Ortho-Bionomy. Through her love to learn and so to help understand anatomy, body systems and nervous system she has undertaken extra training in Craniosacral, Visceral, and Self Regulation therapy. A Pilates Instructor for 16 years, she brings with her a unique and dynamic expression of her passions that she is heartfelt to share with the wider Ortho-Bionomy community, and the wider community as a whole.  She has a space in Lake Country (Studio 2) and is available in Kelowna at Rutland Physical Therapy.
