From the time she became a Registered Massage Therapist in 1995, Marie has had a special interest in helping people who suffer from acute or chronic pain by using gentle, painless techniques. Two things still stand out in her mind from her first experience with Ortho-Bionomy in 1998: her surprise at how comfortable she felt as Ortho-Bionomy was used to release tight joints and muscles; and the immediate effect that Ortho-Bionomy had on her balance and alignment.
That first experience also revealed that Ortho-Bionomy was as comfortable for her to do as it was for the person she was working on. As a Registered Massage Therapist who had experienced work-related physical problems early in her career, she credits Ortho-Bionomy with enabling her to continue to do the work that she loves. Ortho-Bionomy's gentle approach fits perfectly with Marie's philosophy that helping a person feel better can happen without the use of painful or forceful methods.
Marie began taking Ortho-Bionomy training in 1998, and became a Registered Ortho-Bionomy Practitioner in 2001. She also incorporates CranioSacral Therapy, Lymph Drainage Therapy and Visceral Manipulation into her work.
